Food has always been a major part of my life. Helping my parents, or grandparents in the kitchen always brought me joy. From the age of 12, I knew that I wanted to be a baker. Pastry, bread, cakes, you name it, I wanted to know how to make it! After going to culinary school right after high school, I then decided to pack my bags and started traveling around Canada. This trip started with a 2 week adventure to the maritimes with my older sister. Moncton, being the cheapest flight home, was our stay for our last 2 nights. Life. Changing. I found myself constantly booking trips to come back here, until finally I realized that Moncton was home. It’s now been 11 years since that move! (Holy nuggets, time flies!)
My passion for food has never wavered. And when I was given the opportunity to become pastry chef at Black Rabbit, I jumped on it. With the support and encouragement of this team, my creativity and love for this industry has grown so much!
When I’m not covered in flour, you can often find me sitting at one of our local watering holes with a good book! (Sometimes I’m still covered in flour…..)
